Yep I stoled that title. But anyways. Things are really changing around the old house. My mom wanted to sell her 1969 Sation Wagon so I put it up for sale about a week ago and it already sold. The guy is coming to pick it up today.
It's really sad to see it go but we need heat and hydro and to do the repairs on the house. I'm really going to miss the car mostly as I won't be able to use it in any more films. Oh well time marches on.

Well once again it's been a while sense I posted anything here. I didn't really think anyone reads blog posts anymore. Everyone is on facebook and reads posts there.
Anyways I editing ascots vs Aliens. It's way behind schedule for a huge list of reasons. My plan is to have it finished by the end of March.
I have a few film productions lined up for 2017 but finding good actors is going to be a huge problem. I use to use mandy.com but the company was purchased by a company from The UK and they no longer post casting calls for anyone under 18. I'm going to need to fundraise to buy advertising. The problem is all the online adds don't work and no one reads news papers any more.
Facebook adds only yeld big bills for adds run and no actors found. Hum what to do .

I'm going to try and make a 1928 film. I need to build or barrow a phone booth. 3 to 4 1920s cars and wardrobe. I'm going to make three or four vintage tents. I have made them before out of painter drop cloth.
I'm going to do some location scouting. I think there is a few small towns around that haven't changed much
I need three vintage life jackets and possible helmets. Most of all I need some good actors

So I have this old tent trailer frame sitting around the yard so I'm using the old Echo Beach film set to build a box on it to store film gear as I'm losing the last of my indoor stage.
First I painted the frame flat black. Then I screwed the old Echo Beach stage plywood to the frame with 1 1/4 " self taping screws

Making a film is not an easy task. Finishing a film is next to impossible. Move forward never look back.
They say never work with animals, water and children. I always work with two of the three. I make time period no budget no crew. All things that add to the level of difficulty. However I never write what I don't know.

Cressy Scott and I worked on the boat today. We dryer out the hull and repaired the throttle controls for the motor. We also cut the new plywood for the floor. I put a temp art handle on the wood so I could lift it out for all the adjusting that was needed to make it fit properly.

Well I got my old boat out of storage today. It was behind the garage for 20 years. We had to lift it up to get the trailer under it. Then pull it out to the driveway by hand.
The cover worked well to keep the boat clean on the inside. I plaster some full in the carb and used the rip cord to turn it obver. It started on the second pull and ran for 15 seconds before running out of gas. Not bad for sitting for 20 years
Anyways we pulled it inside and started the floor repair. It's the reason I put it on storage.
